i scored new shocks and springs on ebay, and things being what they are, i really dont want to buy these for a one time deal....i will pay shipping both ways....thanks ...keith

The dealers have them. I don't know what they charge to mount a spring but it only takes a couple of minutes. Santa Clara Cycle might have one?
If you have a big ugly friend to lean on it, you can sometimes do it manually if the springs are not super stiff. I got mine on but they were stock weight springs.

thanks, i m in rhode island and the closest dealer doesnt do anything for free or in a hurry....i ve bought stuff from jeff at z-1...i wonder if he would charge me if i pay shipping both ways...just thinking out loud...........

We ground a slot in an old lawn mower blade. Two person job. It's not that hard. One compresses the spring and one puts the top on.

For what you would pay for shipping, go to Harbor Frieght Tools and buy their strut compression tool, it's about the same size as those in that e-bay picture. ~ $25...
Auto Parts stores here in AZ lend out tools, usually for free, strut tool should work...
