A good welder could fix that sprocket for you no problem. Or you can just use JB Weld.

Yeah, my end of the year burnout did have a nice clunking noise to it. :blink:Pop the clutch a couple times and you could smooth that right out!! :woohoo:

Not trying to take a poke at you, but truer words were never spoken if you honestly aren't sure that this sprocket is shot. Sprockets are suppose to have teeth, yours barely has gums. :laugh: Take a look at a new sprocket. Sprockets should be replaced if there is noticable wear. Be sure to replace both sprockets and the chain together. Be sure to lube the new chain every few hundred miles; my prefered lube is a product called "Chain Wax." With only 16,000 miles it's obvious your chain was not maintained. I replaced mine at 36,000 miles after 25 years and the sprockets looked new compared to the one in the picture. Ed
