DuPont Teflon Multi-Use Lube
And it is supposedly identical to and sold under a different name of:
DuPont Teflon Chain Saver
Except when labeled the latter way, they charge more for it.
Anyway, here are the details:
www.webbikeworld.com/t2/motorcycle-chain...eflon-chain-lube.htm
This is very cool stuff because it goes on fluid and then dries to a waxy kind of residue that is not sticky at all.
I will be trying it next, but wonder: would it be better to use a light filming lube like this stuff and then put some kind of a heavy sealing lube over it (like PJ)?
I guess it just down't feel right if the chain isn't coated in something.....

I have been using the PJ blue label (the clear stuff) for a long time. I didn't know it had a problem.Don't use PJ1 ever though. It will ruin a chain faster than using no lube.
What is wrong with it?

But when I do take my wheel off for a new tire, I run the chain through some kerosene, scrub it with a cheap paint brush and wipe it clean, let dry, relube with the teflon.
On the bikes I've had before, I've always used gear oil, or whatever else I had laying around, and I was forever fighting tight spots and buying new chains. Not to mention the permanently dirty back wheel.

About the 80-90wt gear lube for a chain lube, my wifes 2003 Honda Rebel recommends this lube and not commercial chain lube so chances are it works, but that stuff is sticky to clean for sure.
