Wondering if anyone knows if a rear sprocket from a 1976 KZ900B (LTD w/Mag wheel) will fit on a 1978 KZ1000A (laced rim) without any issues? All the aftermarket suppliers show different part numbers.
Thanks,
Tim

the ltd used the same bolt pattern and hub size as the earlier z1's and the kz's used a different sized hub and bolt pattern i'm guessing because of the size difference in motor output i'm thinking the factory was being parinoid.
I was thinking about this last night. On the standard KZ900 with laced rims, there may be a difference. On the 1976 KZ900B (LTD) model, there shouldn't be a difference. I wouldn't think they used a different rear mag rim in 1976 and 1977. They should all be the same.
Anyone else have input on this??

The 76 900LTD was the first factory cast wheel from Kawasaki and yes it was unique to that year. In 1977 with the KZ1000LTD they had the more familier wheels used from there on out.
Yes. The KZ900-B1 LTD came factory equipped with genuine Morris Mags. Later KZ models were no longer fitted with Morris Mags, but were fitted with similar appearing mags from Kawasaki. When directly compared side by side, the difference between the two mag designs is readily apparent.
Good Luck!
