moving front brakes to back side of forks was created by bubba_d
after rebuilding my bike (77 kz1000) i made a mistake. i put the forks on backwards so the calipers are on the back side of the fork instead of the front (dual disk). has anyone left it like this? any problems besides the speedo cable being too short? all feedback would be appteciated. thanks

Here is a good trend,in regards to issues you might have.
kzrider.com/index.php?option=com_kunena&...tid=5&id=83024#83128
It might be easier to update the front end with a later model KZ.

Mine are backwards from PO. I always heard it was a trick mod to do back then.

You can use a 1978 KZ1000 speedo cable. In 1978 they went to the rear on the caliper and used a longer cable.

just switch them back it is easier than trying to make it work the way it is.
