Is this the correct Speedometer for a 1976 KZ900?

My '76 KZ900 Ltd has the same guage set that Gringo showed and I'm fairly positive it's original.
did find this though...................
1976 Z900/ KZ900-A4 Meters
Same as the 1975 Z1-B speedometer. No changes.
With the arrival of the KZ900-A4, Kawasaki dropped the brake light warning light in the tachometer. The redline remains at 9,000rpm. So for this year, the tachometer looks similar to the 1973 gauge except for the position of the ND and x1000rpm on the face.

Hi, I am coming to replace the backs on my clocks and I know they are not the original. In order to find the right backs do you which model they came off. I actually have a suspicion they are none-Kawasaki, maybe Honda?
My bike is a KZ1000 CSR 1982. The temp gauge is not connected and not used.
Look like Honda instruments that were adapted to this bike. Similar in appearance to CB 750 style but that bike didn't have a temp guage.

The pic I posted are of the correct clocks for a 76 KZ900. That was from a 6000 mile bike that was original.
Yes.
In transition of instruments (clocks; meters) from '75Z1 to "76A4:
Shape on A4 was unchanged, and also used on B1 LTD.
Face colors were darkened.
Brake failure warning light moved from inside tach to idiot light cluster.
New part nos: Tach #25016-028; Speedo#25006-056 (mph version)

The photo Jeff has on his site shows 9000. I haven't seen an 8500 red line - can you post a pic of yours for reference?

The pic I posted are of the correct clocks for a 76 KZ900. That was from a 6000 mile bike that was original. The clocks you have on your CSR are not original I agree that they look like they are off some sort of honda. Your bike would have had an 85 MPH speedo when new and the tach would not have had a temp guage.
85mph for a 1000cc engine? Is this not a bit low?

85mph for a 1000cc engine? Is this not a bit low? --- Perhaps acceptable for 1st gear.
Thinking 85 mph speedo requirement for USA motor vehicles began in late 70's and ended in early 90's. Was supposedly a safety measure encouraging slower speeds, but later repealed.
Am uncertain whether non-USA models kept the 160mph version during the USA's 85mph years.
