started rebuilding my front caliper this morning, I couldn't take the piston out, The piston has some rust around it I tried to take a picture of it. Should I start looking for a new caliper? piston? and advice would be appreciated.

soak it down really good with pb blaster or something like that and let it soak.then wrap it up in a thick rag keep fingers away from inside part of caliper where piston comes out and blow compressed air through the hole where banjo bolt goes into caliper this usually works.BE CAREFULL WITH YOUR FINGERS !!!!!!!

And if the air pressure doesn't work, there are other more drastic options (i.e., grease gun; freezing water).
Good Luck!

Another, even messier approch is to simply reconnect to master cyl & use brake fluid to hydrolic piston out. luck G
