Hi Hardrock, I believe I have a spacer for a 77 KZ 650, but don't know if it's a B or C model. It had wire spokes on it. The spacer should fit between the two bearings with the snap ring installed with no lateral movement. If you can't get the snap ring on, then it's too long. Let me know if you want it. It's yours for the postage, if I can find it. The spacers you show are the outer one for the brake side. Bob U
I would really appreciate that, my only worry is the part number is different for the wire spoke (42036-036 b model) and the mag rim (42036-1005 c model).
Can someone tell me weather or not these two parts will interchange?
Looking at the parts diagram, the c model uses a different sized hub bearing and has a cir clip in the hub that the b model doesn't have. Unless someone knows better I think the part from a b model will be to different to use.

bought it because I was told it would never run again...I like to prove people wrong.

I need to find part 42036-1005 Sleeve, Rear hub coupler
does anyone have one? It is off of a 77 kz650 c1.
Can someone run it through cross reference software?
Here's what comes up for that part number...

It's # 12 your looking for correct?
Plus to find out which one is the right one of the outside spacers you have.

I don't have a spare outer spacer #14.
I tried looking at the one on my C2 to compare to your picture. I can only see the center narrow area of the outer spacer, and thought it would have been the taller one on the left in your picture above, but when I look at the parts diagram, part #14 looks more like the one on the right in your picture.
I'm hoping another 650 owner has one loose laying around. Short of that I could take apart my C2's rear a little to take out the spacer and measure it.
Some of the members at the 650info site (link in my signature) may have a spacer to compare for you.
I'll send you a pm on part #12.

I still need to figure out the spacer length, but I believe that I can just try both of them and see which one fits/looks right. As long as the chain run is straight, the wheels are aligned, and everything fits between the swing arm; I would think it is correct.
I need to stop by z1 this week, rear caliper rebuild kit(its been dragging and now would be a good time to service it) larger main jets, and now a new set of rear wheel bearings.
maybe I can get lucky and someone at z1 will know wich spacer is correct.
