Anyone know if this seat will work for my Kz900? Are the seat hinges the same from the Z1?

Thanks!
Seat lock design is completely different between Z1 and KZ900, and imo not feasible to attempt modifying, either at seat or frame.
As to the hinges, the Z1 seat hinges and locations appear the same as on KZ900. So I believe the Z1 seat would fit the KZ900 hinges, but would be used without the lock post and therefore without having a functional seat lock.
Would recommend finding a KZ900 seat.
Am guessing, but uncertain, that KZ1000 seat would bolt on. But please await better advice.
Good Luck!

The seat latch/pan etc. are the same for the KZ900A4/A5 and KZ1000A1/A2/A2A...you may get lucky on eBay...that is what I did and then bought a replacement seat cover from Z1Enterprises.

How does the travelcade cover from Z1E attach to the pan? Have you had good luck with it?

I've been getting seat covers here. Never any fit issues and really good service.

Anyone using the corbin replica seat? It looks really nice and although I don't think I'll be shelling out the $365 for it, I was wondering what the reviews were like for it. Considering the condition of my pan, I am tempted to just get a whole new seat.

I believe AmericanClassic has a fully assembled replacement seat as well for about the same amount of money. Any thoughts?
