how do I get a title was created by KZ1R1000
My nieghbor has an old 76 kz900 that has not been run in years. It has 6400 miles on it, I am buying it from him but there is no title. Does anyone know or have any ideas on how to obtain one. I have heard of a company called ITS and broadway which can get one for me.Has anyone used or know a better way. I ran the vin through my local police station and it does come up clean, the previous owner comes up to but, he passed away in 2005.
If nothing else I will keep it for parts for my 900.
Thanks

Different from place to place. Where are you and maybe somebody close to you has gone through it and knows the local in's and out's.

i am in florida also, and my bike is the same way. i am rebuilding it from the frame up. i called the DMV and they told me that i can apply for a Assembled From Parts Vehicle or ''APV'' they will mail you a aplication packet for it, and they told me all i need is a bill of sale from the person i got it from, the packet, and (after its finished) they will need to inspect it so that it meets all Florida DMV standards. they will also run the VIN to make sure it wasnt stolen, i would suggest doing that yourself first, just run a Motor Vehicle report for it online. hope that helps, keep us up to date on your new toy

These are the instructions for registering and, if needed, eventually titling a legitimately acquired barn find scooter that you are purchasing from the legitimate owner who has lost paperwork.
