What Front Master Cylinder Kit for an '81 KZ550? was created by crown_vick
I'm on my 2nd rebuild kit for a 1981 KZ550, because the first K&L kits piston was too big. After searching online...again, I purchased another K&L kit, #32-8052. Anyone know if this is the right one? It's en route via FedEx, and was just curious if anyone had a 550 they've had to replace. Thanks for any guidance.

As long as you have a 1981 KZ550-D1 GPz!
Master cylinder rebuild kit: 32-8052
Should be good to go!
Note the following off our website:
Contains all the parts to rebuild one (1) 5/8" master cylinder. This mastercylinder is typically used only for double disk setups. Given the age of these bikes, it is worth checking that the master cylinder is correct for the bike - most of these master cylinders will have 5/8" cast into the underside of the master cylinder.
The 32-8052 kit has the 43020-1023 piston used on the D1 model.
The piston used on the A and C models can be found in the 32-8061 kit.
You have to be a bit of a sleuth to determine these fitments. It would be so much simpler if it were all so much simpler
Let me know if it's wrong when you get it.
