best tires for tube rims

Im looking for a good set of tires for my 79' kz1000 ltd. I want to be able to lean it over. Last pair worn very close to lip of tire, I need something with more sidewall. Any suggestions? ah yea my rims are tube type, that matters right?

i have dunlop qualifiers on my 79 ltd.. so far i like them but then i have on 300 miles on them

I put Dunlop 404s on my 78 KZ1000 LTD. They handle great so far, and I have been up on the BRP and other mountain roads with no problems.

The D404s are cheap, too. I got both F & R delived for about $115.00 from Tires Unlimited.

You can use tubeless tires with a tube on your rims so you can run what you like. You can't run a tire that takes a tube tubeless. If that helps any.

I used a Bridgestone Spitfire 11R(?) on my back towards the end of the year last year, and this year I plan to get one for my front, because they're awesome. The wear is great, and my friend with a 2005 GSXR1000 was impressed with how I almost kept with him throught eh twistys. So i liek them, and will buy them again. Thats my opinion.
