What frames would match up with a 1980 KZ750-E1? Would a 1977 KZ 900 frame be the same?
Thank You

completely different you might be able to get some j model frame to work if you make new mounts in fact one of my drag chassis originally had a 750 engine in it now it has an 1100 motor in it.

That's kinda hard to answer. What exactly are you wanting to do?
The best match would be the 80-82 750-E models.
Next would probably be the 80-83 750-Ltd-4 chain drive & 81-83 KZ650-CSR.

My options are running out on getting title for this bike.Unless a miracle happens soon it might be easier to just get a new frame with title.
What is a j model frame? Sorry don't understand!
Plan was to do a total restoration on this bike anyway and never really was sure of title ever coming to me. I figured if I get a title great if not then I will do this. I would prefer the original KZ750 frame or KZ650 but not many with title available.
Anyone, have a frame with title for sale?
Thank You
Ray

321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.

Kawasaki never used the same frame on two models, so you'll need another 1980-82 KZ750E frame to do a direct swap. Others made be adaptable, but there will be varying amounts of work and I doubt possible to make anywhere near original or worth the attempt.

Have you looked into getting a replacement title for the bike?
Here's a frame on ebbaayy: Clean Clear Frame - 1981 Kawasaki KZ750 KZ 750E 4cyl
It's in Michigan. I'd guess it would cost near $300 total shipped.
