I like that spring compressor from ebay. I had to remove the spring from my r6 shock and I got a spring copressor from harbor freight and it scratched the body of the shock and the spring not to mention it was clumsy. I might have to look into that one as I now have remove it again to repaint the spring. As far a powdercoating goes do you think that it would be so hot that it would hurt the spring. I live in fl so my spring could get 450 degrees sitting in the parking lot for too long  ? would pwder be flexible enough?
