Tire question was created by Rocket3
Newbie here with a tire question. 78 KZ650B, and I'm wondering if anyone has any suggstions for a brand and size of tire to get a little more aggressive look. The rear has a 110 but I'v also got a 79 which has a 120 on it and it looks better. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Don't go cheap on tires. If they let you down you may go down hard. On my '77 KZ650C1, I recently replaced my Michelin Macadam tires with Pirelli Sport Demons. The Pirellis have better traction, particularly in braking, than the Macadams. I used a 100/90 V 19 on the front and 120/90 V 18 on the rear. These are the same tire sizes as the Macadams I replaced. I have put a little over 1,000 miles on the new tires, so I cannot give a long term opinion, but so far I really like them. These tires have a modern asymmetrical tread pattern similar in appearance to some radial tires. The link shows the tread pattern. I bought mine at Ron Ayers. Ed

I think your stock size was same as mine which was 4.00-18? If so, the 110 metric is close, but on mine the width is about right and the diameter is a bit too small. I believe 120 the diameter would be about right and the width a shade wide, but size varies depending on brand. I think you can run either 100 or 120 on the rear and 100-19 on the front.Newbie here with a tire question. 78 KZ650B, and I'm wondering if anyone has any suggstions for a brand and size of tire to get a little more aggressive look.
