It's amazing what the right tool will do. I went out and bought some allen sockets, hooked them up to my torque wrench, and got 6 of the 7 bolts off without any issues. The seventh took a little coaxing (hammer on allen wrench, channel lock pliers on wrench to loosen).
Now, the rotor is on the "new" rim, and ready to be installed once I figure out what frame modifications I will be doing first.
