Plastic chain guard measurement - KZ550A or KZ750E was created by JMKZHI
Could someone please measure the center-to-center distance between the mounting holes on the plastic chain guard from a KZ550-A-Standard or KZ750-E Standard-4?
My 81 650-CSR has a chrome chain guard that I'm looking to replace w one that's plastic. The center-to-center measurements that would work are: . ~8-15/16 . or . ~9-11/16.
Metric is . ~22.7 cm . or . ~24.6 cm. Thanks. JMK.
PS: the plastic guard from an earlier KZ650 won't work.

bump...
Also, an 81 GPz550 chain guard - it's the same as the one on the other two bikes mentioned previously.

would a kz650 measurement work? I'd be glad to measure it for you. Even though i like original, the chain guard is one of those things that you really dont need. Its sitting in a pile along with my bike's chrome rear fender, giant turn signals, and impossible hard to use center stand.

No, a KZ650's won't work. Thanks anyway, though.
The KZ750-E shares some parts w my 81 650-CSR, so I'm guessing the closest match would be from those bikes mentioned (they share the same guard). I'm looking to try a plastic guard to see if there's more clearance for some Sportster shocks.
