White seat=black? was created by polkat
Not sure which forum to put this in, so I'll try here. I have a nice white vinal seat that I want to be black. Are there any dyes out there that actually work? Or should I just recover it? I would hate the recovering idea if there are any dyes that work. Ideas?

Duplicolor has a
vinyl and fabric "coating."
I have never used it before, and have my doubts about durability and appearance, but I guess it's worth a try if you're considering a new cover anyway.
If it turns out terrible you won't feel so bad about recovering it!

Mar-Hyde makes a good vinyl dye.
CLEAN vinyl is the key to any of them.
have seen certain dye systems that use a "primer" as well,
it is some sort of cleaning solvent i am sure,
i just didn't get to taste it.:woohoo:
