While most of the bearings used on the KZs (wheels,engine etc.) are industry standard, I'm pretty sure the steering head bearings are motorcycle specific - I could be wrong but I've never seen them anywhere outside a bike shop.

OnkelB is right. I took everything apart and thought I could go back together the next day by buying locally. The bearing sizes are truly odd and not in any standard bearing books, so are not available at your local bearing supply store, or even on-line through bearing sources. I work in Maintenance and have tried everywhere.
I bought from Z1Enterprises at a reasonable price and am totally satisfied.

The tapered bearings can be found. But the races' are hollow ground on the o.d., they are very thin.
I am sure a 1000 more guys thaught the same over the years.
But well worth the $30 investment.
