Swing Arm Front End Z1R was created by Meridian
Hi all. I am creating a street fighter style 80 Z1R and was looking for help with the best way to convert to a 190 rear wheel/tire combo along with the front wheel as well. I am looking at the swing arms available at American Classix? Any help or experience in this area would be appreciated!

Welcome. I know there are a couple people using the arms from American Classix. Try searching "swingarm swap" or "fork swap". You should get a bunch of info from the results.
Also look for 531BlackBanshee's project thread. He has a R1 rear rim with either a 190 or 200mm tire.

there are endless posability for front and rear end swaps. look through the projects. i used a ZRX12 arm, and ZX9 front.
Irishwill has a good deal on gsxr triple trees already to go.
Sandy has a complete zrx11 front and rear end for asle.

i am not sure how much help i can be as i custom built my own swingarm to house a 2000 r1 rear wheel and brake.i was dead set against doing any chassis mods and wanted to build my swingarm to suit, instead of frame modifying to suit the swingarm off something else.
i plan to convert the frontend.but am still gathering the pieces to pull it off.i have a zx12r frontend(thanks mark1122)and plan to custom build the upper triple tree to suit the ride height i desire.
here is my bike,

when converting to late model usd front ends they are usually shorter which slams(lowers) your bike.so to raise it back up you need longer chrome tubes or a gullwing upper tripple clamp to give back the lost ride height.here are some nice ones.

Your bike looks great. I have found a front and rear package off a zx12r as well. Just measuring up to see how it will fit. I am looking at a few swing arms out of Japan. I will keep you posted if I find something that works and for how much!
