Has anyone thats fitted a Zephyr arm to their 650 had any problem with the angle of the shocks? It looks like the lower mounts (on the arm) are further apart than the top mounts (on the 650 frame), so when the shocks are in operation, its going to try and push the swingarm mounts apart?

It is not much different than angled shocks on a car. If they are spread apart at an angle it is only very little so. It shouldn't cause any problems. I am putting mine on a KZ1000 frame and I do not know if the rear frame is any wider or not than the 650. The pictures of the 650 in the preceding pictures seam not to have any issues.

But surely on a car the pivot point is in the same plane as the shocks, so the pivot will be complimenting the shock moment rather than fighting against it?

You have rubber dampers both top and bottom, that should be enough to compensate the little deviation you might have.

Did the lengths ever get posted. I'm interested to see what the differences are from stock.

Can you post the distance from the swingarm pivot to the rear axle. Been trying to find an arm close in length to the 650.

Thanks!

My ZR550 arm measures 552 mm/20.55" from pivot bolt center to rear axle center - note that this measurement can vary about +/- an inch depending on the position of the axle eccentrics, mine are pretty much in the middle with the axle at 12 o'clock.

77 KZ 650 B1, 82 GPz 1100 B2.
