if you ever experiance one coming off going down the road youll realize it can never be too tight, and dont forget red locktite ! :laugh:Don't really want to overtighten it. I thought 70ft/lbs would be enough but that seemed too easy.

Got the wheels off and will be replacing the bearings. Anyone know the front and rear axle torque settings off top of their head?
Thanks!

. I put on some red loctite...
Won't that be PITA to remove the next time you change the sprocket (red loctite needs a lot of heating to be released if i remember)?
Just my 2 cents

what happens when the little tab breaks off the washer? :S you find the sprocket and chain balled up inside the housing tearing things up,yes it happensThe Kawis have a splined flat washer that you flatten against one flat of the nut so the nut can't come off. When I changed mine, the nut was loose but held in place by the lock washer.... hence my cleaning it thoroughly and using blue loctite. I don't recommend red unless you want to use a torch to remove it.
