If the 750 adjuster is like the 1000 adjuster,there is no readjustment.U have to take the thing all the way off and reset it according to the manual,then reinstall it.If u take it part way out and then put it back in,u may screw up the timing chain and damage the engine.Spend a few bucks on a manual for the bike and they will tell u how to in easy steps.OR get an APE manual adjuster and throw the "automatic" one away.bj
According to kawasaki.com, the oem '80KZ750 cam chain adjuster is same as '79KZ1000 (see images in following posts):

they can even be used to clean threads and removing o-rings from recesses.
i play a little guitar myself and always have some on hand, and if you dont play, most walmarts carry cheap sets(about 5 bucks) to keep around.
think outside the box, and everyday items become lifesaving tools
