Thanks for the help. But, it's not the thickness of the disk thats preventing it from fitting...it's the diameter. I think the caliper I have was intended to be mounted in a different location - maybe in front of the forks on the old KZ750? I guess I'll have to try and buy a new caliper, but before I do so, I want to make sure that the disks are the same diameter. If the flange was shaped slightly different, it would fit, but right now I'm about an inch shy of having clearance.

As stated, the KZ750-4 has dual disks that are smaller in diameter; the 750 calipers are located lower down on the forks. Since you can't get it to fit, get one from an 81-83 650-CSR.
