i believe texas was right. the two different size one has a light touch for initial stopping and can really lock them up when needed.
either case i don't think your going to get your desired result with a stock master.
can't wait to see the end result mounted.
can we get a little sneak preview?
someday i will be able to afford my kz habit.

I am using an after-market master on the bike now with the 80s single piston caliper. The second generation, not the one that uses the round pads. I really have no complaint about the single piston calipers even though they take quite a squeeze to stop the bike, but they will be next to impossible to mount on the new 18" wheel with the larger 1000ST rotors.

whats the piston area compared to a stock kz caliper?
All three are almost identical. The one I have on there single piston is 1450mm2. The dual equal piston caliper is 1415mm2 and the dual piston unequal piston is 1480mm2. For comparison the early Kawasaki single piston caliper (KZ900/1000)was 1135mm2
