Shaft drive question was created by Petei151
Hi everyone,
Im new to the forum and have an 82 kz750 spectre. Its is a super reliable bike, I got it a year ago and i believe it has all the original parts. I am going to do a few little mods just to get up to date. My question is that is there any maintenance I should be doing to the shaft to keep it running strong? grease etc?

I have a 82 KZ1100 Spectre shaft.
I change the gear oil in the final drive once every three months depending how much I ride it.

Welcome aboard, Petei151,
It would be a good idea to follow the maintenance schedule in the owners manual or factory shop manual. That being said, on my old Concours, I did a full shaft and rear drive service every time I changed the rear tire - every 6-8000 miles.
