Front / Drive Sprocket not coming loose

I'm trying to change my front / drive sprocket and I can't get it loose. I read the manual and it all seems extremely standard, but i can't even get it to budge. I do have to loosen this nut to the Left, correct?
I tried a pipe extender on my wrench too and no luck...
Is there a trick to this i'm missing?

so far i've tried a pipe extender on the end of my ratchet, PB Blaster, light taps with a hammer to get it to loosen, banging the handle of my ratchet with a hammer, and general 93 degree weather wrenching.
any other ideas short of buying more expensive tools?
i'll look into an impact driver and see if anyone has a impact gun...

An impact gun is the only way if the nut is tight...which it is most times.
I concur. That is the only way I remove mine. Also ALWAYS with chain still installed.
I have one of these and I wouldn't trade it for "NUTTEN" $19.99

i think the p.b blaster and an air rachett with the compressor at 120 and a qucik set of bursts///knocks//blasts pulls off the really really bad ones...sucks to buy a special socket and all but only a hard air sockett will work...the others just crack and crumble under the demand,......or drive to a service station that you've checked to have said implements.,.. with a twelve pack of st paully girl and remove the cover ect on the side of the shop and present the beer and a request......
