Does anyone know any thing about Mike Bruso?

I bought this frame and it had a performance catalog with it.

The was a thread about one of these styled frames several months ago and I can't find it.

Thanks for all your help. Roy

Haven't heard much about Mike last few years. Years ago him and his partner were running out of Americus, Georgia. One of the original pro-stock teams. Was the first pro-stocker into the 9's. This was back when pro-stock motors were just 1135cc-1170cc. Running stock swingarms and a WM-6 rim with a roadrace tire. 31mm carbs were huge and big cams were around .400 lift. Like I said...many years ago. He also ran a B/gas dragster like pictured named the "dollar-gobbler". He was the man to beat and him and Bob Carpenter with his H-2 put on many great runs against each other. Later did a lot of street racing down in Florida(I think) at the Cabbage Patch. Ran an injected KZ1000 for awhile also. Haven't heard much about him lately though.

1980 LTD (changed over the years), 1979 LTD (being rebuilt), 1977 KZ turbo and various KZ's in various states of build. KLX110

I was informed that he is in prison. I have been trying to verify that.

Jim Hammer told me these type frames were copied by thier competion and it got real hard to tell what frame they were running.

Jim just sold one set up for dirt drags.

He also told me this frame was one of the better frames for that period as it had the short back end and transfered weight better.

Mike was the first 9 second pro stock rider in 1975

First 8 second pro comp rider in 1977.

First 7 second funny bike rider in 1980.

I got that info from the brochure.

I was told by two people that it had a ceriani front end.

I was offered $350.00 for it.
