Suggestions on windshild for 76 kz900

I'm lookin for some suggestions on a windshild for my 76 kz 900. I'm 6'2 and love the bike, but the wind beats the shit out of me on 4 lane highways. I want to keep the look of the bike semi clean. How well do the removeable windshilds work? I wear a modular helmet, and that helps with the bugs, but the wind is pretty brutal around 70 miles per hour. Thanks for any suggestions.

If you can find a Shoei FM-2 handlebar fairing(I had one on my 1977 Kz1000)it does a pretty good job of reducing wind buffeting.

just say no to fairings on kzs, unless its a z1r fairing or one of those little maier fairings! :woohoo:
Agreed. Mine came with a Vetter - worst thing ever done to the bike (and it's been violated....I'm still taking it to therapy to work on its issues).

I'm also 6-2 and had an S06 on my 650, I found it a bit short and had helmet buffet at highway speeds. Really, it was worse than having no windshield at all. It is 15" tall but I had it mounted higher, at 17" from the top of the headlight.
The S08 is taller @ 20" and I imagine would raise the buffet over your head, but importantly put the top of the windshield just about eye level or a hair below. That's what you want, top of shield between eye and nose.
Currently I use a touring Slipstreamer S03, 21" tall. It really cuts the blast down and I'm glad I have it. It's a 4 point mount so I rarely take it off, but only takes 3 minutes when I do.

i've just bought one of these variable windshields.
please see this link:-
www.mandp.co.uk/productinfo/827349/Bodyw...g/Up-and-Down-Screen
it's a puig and looks cool on your bike, it's unique in that you make the shield small or larger for different reasons!
it's really well made and has two shields, forming air duct system. this shield has been designed in a wind tunnel!
best
