The pull back on the stock bars are horrible but I like the grip location (not the angle)
Stock bars measure
Center 8"
Width 27"
Rise 10"
Pull back 12"
I like the more laid back feel as compared to sporty so low rise straight bars are out.
My thoughts are to go with a width of about 29" a rise of 12" and a pull back of 6". I could then rotate the bars back some.
Thoughts? Anyone gone in this direction?

Yes, they're much more comfortable than those ridiculous mini-apehangers.
The style is kinda like a V-twin cruiser. One downside is that at speeds above 60mph or so, you kinda have to lean forward quite a bit, which isn't terribly comfortable. The Euro or Daytona style might be a good alternative. A plus is that the front brake master cylinder is level. On other bars the mc will sit at an angle.

I looked as I would have loved to added on to the $100 order I placed today but all of theirs were low bars. I don't want anything lower just less pull back.

Z-bars can be had in varying heights and with very little pullback. I went with a set of TC Bros. 12" Ape Hangers on my LTD. They put my hands about 3 inches below my shoulder line if I sit straight up, and just about level when I slouch.
