I know some of you are going to say not to do it... but if I can fit some milk and bread and stuff on my bike I get to ride more. That's a good enough reason for me to put em on. Thanks for any info you have in advance.

Most of them have a zipper that allows you to expand it higher
I have a "Teknic" tank-bag and I love it,fits everything I need.
Has magnets in the flaps and it locks to the tank and will NOT slide around, but simple to take off.
For example...

I have been looking for saddlebag guards for my 79 650 sr. I have not had any luck. Is anyone familiar with what I need to put some new saddlebags on my bike?

What is a saddlebag guard?
Is that something like a mounting bracket?
Good Fortune!

I'm new to the forum, and to motorcycles in general. Just got my first bike: a 1984 KZ550 LTD yesterday. I'm looking for some saddlebags for it and saw your post. Do you think your guards would fit a 550?
Thanks,

I have a small set of saddlebag guards.chrome and in perfect shape.dont know if they are for a 650 or nor but they are small enough to be.wanna try em? Patton, they are a set of "u" shaped brackets that mount to the rear fender or frame to keep the bags from flapping around and getting caught in the rear wheel.bj
