Sticking rear brake was created by KZ1100 Bully
Hi, My rear brake sticks. I think it is just the lever spring as it does not return all the way up. I can put my foot under it and lift it up and the brake will release.
Or do I have a bigger problem?

How much travel does the brake pedal have?
If your spring is good it might be the brake pads are reaching thier wear limit. Roy

The pedal goes down about a third of the way. The brake pads new last year with 3000 miles on them now. Sounds like the pivot needs lube and cleaning will install a new spring as well.
Thanks guys for the help.

When i put the new swingarm on my bike the pedal would barely move. I got it off cleaned up the post and pedal, lubed it up and all is good. If the problem doesn't go away try cleaning out the groove in the caliper where the seal sits. Those seem to get filled up with crud and won't let the piston return back into the caliper.
