But alas, the speedo drive gear has apparently went tits up on me. Speedo jumps when I twist the cable with my fingers, but she no go roundy round when hooked up to the drive.
Fleabay is show a shiny NOS one, but the guy says it fits an '82-2005 police bike.
Anybody know if it will fit my 1980 LTD B4?
He also lists what appears to be two different part numbers:
41078-1013 and 41046-1006.

Gotta hand it to the old girl. Made it all the way through the season with nary a glitch.

Forgive this question, but is for certain the speedo drive is faulty and not simply a worn out inner cable?
Hoping for the more typical cheap and simple solution of a new speedo cable.

But I took it loose from the bottom and spun the cable with my fingers and the speedo did jump. But it's also possible I inadvertantly shoved the cable up further into the speedo, wher it might've engaged a less worn section of the square end.
