Yes i squeezed my frame, i could have done a 9/16 or maybe a 1/2 and made it work, i have a x ring chain that is pretty gold but it rubbed my sprocket cover aluminum, has a silver stripe now, rubbed the gold off but did not digg into the chain as it was aluminum. boo can i just turn the chain around? i only have a few miles(like 200) and since i am changing the back sprocket i need to shorten it any way.
Hey ST... @ 5/8ths offset, chain to frame clearance going to be an issue in your setup?

Even with a 12.5mm, had to modify the sprocket cover on mine a tad as well....
Your 530 chain stretch that much for need to shorten it in 200 miles or for other reasoning?

Sorry i was unclear i am changing rear sprockets the one i orignially had was a 525 47 tooth and am changing to a 530 and around a 42 which is smaller in diameter, it has 130 link and it worked with the 47 but i ran out of "adjusting power" with the 42.

Yeah, you can turn your chain around for the pretty side to show. Chains are not directional like sprockets or tires
