I have washers for the pivot point, but there is enough room on the axle that I don't want to use washers. The axle I have came with three spacers of some type, I cant seem to figure a combination of them that works.
Could someone put a photo of how they spaced their axle for this?
let me know how yours turns out! i still havent done the swap... need a few more parts (longer chain, tire, shocks, axle, and spacers)

What shocks are those and does anyone know of a gas charged shocks that won't break the bank?
I have gs1100 shocks on my mockup but they are too short. Eye to clevis is 13.5
It's just going to be too low. I want to install, maybe a set of 70's LTD wheels and front forks.
Trying to make a low budget version of this bike.

I think I might use Les's rearsets, but can't find eye to clevis shocks like I want longer than 13.5??? Anyone have ideas????

What is the eye to clevis measurement on goldwings?
Thanks

Looks awesome. I'm doing this conversion right now and I was wondering what chain guards bolt up to the 1100 arm? Is the GS750 chainguard the same? Or any other models?

I now have a 1995 GSXR 750 suspension I'll be using on this bike. I may put the GS1100 swingarm on my 78 LTD1000 this winter, but it already has a underbrace I installed on the factory swingarm.
Not sure what I'm going to do with it now?
Sorry, I can't help you with your polish question at this time. I did do some engine parts that were in bad shape. I just wet sanded them in the kitchen sink when my wife was gone.
Started with 220 and ended with 1500, then a little mothers mag polish.
