Fairing change/ removal

I have decided that I don't like the big fairing on my cop bike anymore.:ohmy: I want more air in my face however I wouldn't mind being able to reinstall it during winter or put some other windsheild on during cold weather. Will a triple tree from another KZ fit? I want to keep the original kawasaki parts if possible as most aftermaket doesn't appeal to me.
Any suggestions?

I cant swear to this, but me THINKS the fork width (hence triple-tree assembly) is different.....wider on "P" models. Somebody WILL correct me if I'm wrong, tho.....
