what other wheels will fit

I have a 77 kz400 with 18 inch spokes front and rear , was looking to swap to a set i found from a 83 440 does anybody know if its a direct swap ? if so will the drum fit in the mags from the spokes on the rear. thanks in advance fellas

the ones im looking at are 19 inch front and 16 inch rear

Hey, tone welcome to KZR! I'm no expert on the small twins, and couldn't tell you if the wheels will be a direct swap. However there is a very good site dedicated to the KZ400/KZ440. You might find the info that you need here: www.kz400.com/

I know from past experience that most guys here have the bigger bikes and so answers to KZ400 questions are sometimes slow. Good luck in your search and do let us know what you find out if someone doesn't come along with your answer here.

BTW I would love to have a KZ400. They look like neat little bikes. Lets see a picture when you get a chance.

the brake from the 400 probably wont fit the 440 wheel but you can probably use the full assembly if the bearings are the same
