GPZ calipers on a KZ900

Hey Guys, anyone tried using GPZ750-1100 calipers (83-85 model) on a KZ900 or 1000? I am told the GPZ750-900 from 85-86 years will also fit straight on, any input as to how or whether they work?
GPZ calipers can be bought new in the U.K. apparently.

I have dual caliper front brakes on my 750 twin using 83 GPz750 calipers and 80 KZ1000 rotors and they work great.

Sure, the bracket bolt pattern is the same.

thanks for the input guys. So pad surface lines up ok? Bearing in mind, i think, that the Gpz has a 10 inch rotor and we have 12inch?

Steell, your looks like the same swap in am contemplating, so the forks you are using have same bolt spacing as the earlier Kz,hmm, interesting. Do we know what exactly is better in the design of the Gpz caliper versus the earlier Kz one?

10" vs 12", means the caliper is an inch further from the center of the axle on the KZ's (750 twin/900/1000 anyway) than it is on the GPz. Gives the pad more leverage.

The GPz brake pad only sweeps about 2/3 of the normal braking surface.

I'm using a 15mm master cylinder off a 96 GPz1100, but it's the same one used on the ZX11 and a bunch of other bikes.

I really like the way it stops.
