Yes, you CAN resurface bike rotors, Dorothy......

Had these rotors w/ 10k miles and plenty of depth on them, but rusted and looked like an old LP:

went many places that said it couldn't be done, but I found a local machine shop who resurfaced them, for $22 each!
Now I have this:

they look nice but why would you lay them on concrete just to take picture

Looks good. Any idea what process that they used? Blanchard ground, perhaps?

More info please - mine have some nice grooves in them from the 47k+ (I'm certain they are the original). Were the wear measurements in the manual? I haven't found them yet (although I haven't searched hard).

Looks nice! Blanchard ground would be my guess. I had that done on mine but not as cheaply I paid about $100 for both. This process is only possible if the rotor can be removed from the carrier if anyone wonders, like on these later model rotors.

Dub it is probably in the manual but the minimum thickness should be stamped on the disc as well.

correct. Minimum thickness (4.5mm f/6mm r) is stamped right on the rotor. I have .8mm+ to spare.

oh, and don't worry, I was careful not to scratch them on the concrete.....
