Well. I just saved a kz1000 that was on its way to be scraped. i know the carbs need cleaned and the front fork needs rebuilt from it sitting for 5 years with out moving or being ran.
but I am having trouble location the parts to rebuild the rear brake master cylinder. when i got it the cylinder was stuck. i got it unstuck cleaned it out and now it seeps oil from the seal and dust boot.
My question is would this

fit for rebuilding the cylinder or what parts do i need to fix this problem.

Even the brake master changed on the shafty's from 79 to 80, they still had the same primary seal though, you can get any aftermarket kit for the following;
Part # = 43020-1015
Part Description = REAR BRAKE PISTON ASSEMBLY

thank you. now to try to find the part. not having any luck so far. i tried cleaning the old one up to see if it may be savable.

well. I honed the master cylinder out and it seems to be holding for now. it still has a very very small leak that may have to stay. but I'm
m letting it sit for a bit before i do any more major work on it. now i have to rebuild all 4 carbs, install new tires, and get possible get a mac 4into 1 exhaust for it.

Well, looks like I'll be searching for new internals or a body for it. i cleaned it out and it still leaks. went from upper line to lower line in under 2 hrs. Once it hits lower line it appears to stop leaking though. .

The inside cylinder has some minor pitting which could be the cause or the rubber seals are worn down, But since it appears no one makes a rebuild for my bike.
i was wondering if any one knew if a 1981+ would be able to be fitted if i transferred over the linkage. or if any one has a working non leaking unit.
