KZ 750 swing arm swap was created by kzcafe750_24
Hey guys,
Just wondering if anybody has any info on this swingarm swap. kz750 4 cylinder using a 91 zr550 swing arm. If so this is the info I'm looking for:
- What rim rim will bolt right up? (GSXR,ZZR,CBR, etc) Don't want to use a zr550 rim, just because I don't like the style of them. Not looking for the widest either, stock rim and tire size will work just fine.
- What modding is involved?
- Any other ideas or info on this swap, would be great thanks.
Thanks Much,

"200-350: interchangeable
400-550: interchangeable

900-1000: interchangeable"

Sure it looks OK now, but wait until I really make it pretty, with some chrome and paint and some new tires and grips and the wiring. Don't forget the gearing, and the LED's and, and, and....

I put a 81` KZ750E swingarm on my 77` KZ1000A, had to add two .100" spacers on each side to make up the difference in width, and square the swingarm in the chassis. Only needed a .020" shim on the countershaft sprocket to align with rear sprocket..
Why you ask, it is 1.5" shorter, makes the steering feel muck quicker, and I wanted to have the factory mag wheel rear and keep the 18" instead of the 16" LTD wheel. Plus the weight savings between the total package, about three pounds lighter.
FWIW, hope this helps.
