Hi all, have not been here for some time.

But I M back with a problem.

I need help getting my KZ650 with a fairing on the centerstand.

Maybe it's me.

I try to roll it back and I can't get it up.

Try to push down, while lifting up.

Doesn't work.

It's really aggravating when the bike high sides.

I need to oil the chain.

Somewhere on this web sight there is a video or a series of pictures of a diminutive young lady puting a rather large bike on a center stand . It is actually quite simple. Once you have the center stand on the ground, with your right foot put ALL of your mass (lift your left foot off the ground)on the center stand lever while at the same time lifting on the handle bar and the grab rail. Do not attempt to LIFT the bike onto it. You will never be able to do so. You must use your body as a hydraulic piston between the stand lever and the two upper grab points not between the ground and the grab points.

Try driving the back wheel up onto a piece of 2X4. Then as you rock back and pull with it, squeeze the front brake handle to hold position, then rock back again... repeat as necessary.
That's how I do mine. I don't have a fairing, but my center stand is off of a police bike, and I think it's longer than the one thats supposed to be on there.
I don't have a grab rail on mine.

Yikes ! Can't imagine how that happens.

Anyway, if that is a Vetter fairing (weighs about the same as a small Toyota) installed on a bike with old, saggy springs at both ends, then you may need a helper. If for any reason the suspension has been lowered, then it may be impossible. Anything that makes the bike sit lower than when it was new will put the center stand at an awkward angle, making deployment difficult.

Leverage is the key for sure. There are also online videos of a small woman who goes by Skert picking up a Goldwing that's on its side.

I have to get some rearward momentum going and then slam the stand down and stand on the lever. I agree an assistant would be helpful to keep from letting it get away from you.
