Frame webbing removal was created by thug
After some advice please.
I,m modding a Z1100 frame and would like to cou out the sheet in the picture but I,m concerned that it may be structural for added strength.
The frame has already been modded to take a mono-shock.
At the top of the triangle there is a bar welded across from tube to tube of approx. 25mm deep by 6mm wide and this seems to be load bearing for the shock conversion.
So is the palte for extra webbing or is it just to hide the shock assembley?

Any ideas please folks?;)

Wow those are big! Maybe you should keep them and sell the advertising space. You know, subsidize the project a little. :P Just kidding. I'm with Leon, some smaller gussets are in order.

I can't help with specific advice, since I've never seen a shaft drive bike converted to monoshock before, but someone obviously thought that extra support was needed, so I'd think long and carefully before deciding it wasn't.
