Im really getting close to getting this bike done guys, and I couldnt of done it without this forum. I really appreciate all the help that I have gotten, and im sure i will need some more. Here is my next problem. I installed the brakes, the rear brake is the same, the front brake I changed it to just a single disc and got a mastercylinder off ebay. its brand new, for a kawasaki quad of some type i believe. put new dot 3 fluid in both masters and started bleeding. the rear started in no time , the front one took some work, but in not much time the brakes were working good. now, when im pushing the bike around in neutral, it seems very hard to push, like the brakes are sticking....any thoughts?

try jacking up bike one end at a time and see if wheels drag,a little drag is normal.
if the brakes arent releasing it could be the little holes inside master cylinders not allowing fluid to return.
seals/piston in calipers could also be gummed up

Possibly non-existent or too tight gap in rear brake between end of brake push rod and the master cylinder piston.
This is usually an adjustable item, and is a different adjustment than pedal height.
Good Fortune!

Has the bike been sitting for a while? If so, the seals in the calipers can get a form of resinous buildup. Not sure exactly what it is. Probably degraded brake fluid drying up behind the seals. I have seen it in all the bikes I have done that were parked for years. What happens is the stuff builds up behind the seals and causes the pistons to stick. Time for a caliper rebuild if this is the case.

patton, if you have time could you elaborate a little more about that gap your talking about. im not really understanding what your saying, and im leaning toward the back brake as the problem.

This is how it is on the Z1 and KZ900
Am guessing it's the same or similar on the bike at hand.
Could examine diagram of kawasaki.com.
Lots of good info there, including parts diagrams, part numbers, models sharing same part, availability, etc.
