bottom view of fork tube, unlike the A1...no circlip to remove barrel and spring, spring seat, ect.
this looked like the inner 'sleeve' would come out and the 'shoulder' is the spring and spring seat you see, is locked in there.....this sob will not give me a hint of movement after flushing with solvent, clean as a whistle and liberal heat gun won't even do it.
Is this as far as you can break these down??? it can't be.
Anyone know who makes replacement fork tubes for MK2's??

The 1000's are not my primary interest, so I guessed that MK2 referred to the 79 KZ1000A3 in your sig.
Here's the parts breakdown for the forks, but I haven't figured out what that piece is inside the fork.
Spring removed?
Damper removed?

Top diagram is A3 while bottom is A1, at least so far. Things get wacky when I link pics here from kawasaki.com.
I tried for a day or two to switch my avatar, then decided to add it to my sig.
Thanks to who ever got it to work.
Not near as intimidating as the cat though
