i thought only suzuki was using 17s back then B)

Nope, the early KZ shafts (1000/1300) had 17" rims The 4.50 would be a 115/90-17 if there was such a thing. But a 120/90-17 would work just fine. It would only be a couple of MM wider and about as manyMM larger in DIA.
