Good wheels for a stretched out KZ1000

I'm new to the forum and new to my KZ1000 so please help me out here. I see a ton of cool KZs with different wheels on them. What will fit my 1980 KZ1000 LTD? I was thinking something from a crotch rocket would look cool. I'm trying to work on a budget as well. Thanks in advance guys.

congrats on your new 1000.if you are looking to put later model wheels on it is alot more involved than just a bolt on.go to projects section and check out a bike you like and see what had to be done to make it work. this site was very helpfull while I was building my bike. alot of good ideas.good luck with your build. well worth the effort and satisfaction of having a bike you dont see everyday.

welcome if you are going with a newer wheels there is a good chance you will need a diff. swing arm if you have to go that way you mite want to find the wheels you like and have the arm built for them.
