I have an 81 LTD 1000, I installed superbike bars recently but the front brake lever is still too far from the bar to be comfortable in an emergency stop. It was too far w/ the oem bars and it's still the same. I've thought about notching the lever and getting it tig welded back together to bring it closer to the bar? Does anyone make an aftermarket adjustable lever?

I think notch and weld is a fine idea, unless you can find a shorty lever, or a completely different one that is to your liking.

What is a GX6, I'm not familiar w/ that? Did you change just the lever only or the whole M/C ? Is there a certain model year? Thx for the replies!
