dirt bikes were running stuff like short shifters,light weight footpegs,aluminum handle bars,magura throttles and levers,aluminum wire wheels,spool hubs,light weight shocks and front ends .............. long before any of that stuff was cool on street bikes.
youd be surprised what you might find if you go digging in an old bike bone yard,people were using aluminum triple trees off dirt bikes long before everybody and his brother had access to a bridgeport
