Will new KZ swingarms fit an old Z1? was created by abelseth
Hey guys!
Im wondering if there is any chance that one of the newer KZ bikes have a Swingarm that will fit on a Z1 900? Anyone of you have any experience with that?
Im on the hunt for a extended swing for my bike, and the only ones that aint bolted or cost a fortune is on www.dgchassis.net/Dragbike%20Swing%20Arm...gbike-swingarms.aspx They cost around 500$ + Shipping = 700$
And there is a lot of other extended swings on newer bikes on ebay for a small price.
Suggestions plez

All depends on what your planning on where very few if any just bolt on.... Some members went with a GS1100 swing-arm where minor tweaks where required... They'd be better to answer than I.
If looking for mono-shock, totally different animal. Same time, Iris-Will was working on some type of pre-fabbed unit for this concept...
another source for ya...

if you mean can you buy a cheap kz 900-1000 swing arm to play with and work on and will the front slide in and accept your current swing arm bolt /bushing same /width of front section...bolt dia....yes...from 73-79/80 will slide in and can be used to create your own braced or webbed/ext/ arm....the brake hangers may need trimming off and relocating ect...little stuff...like later ones having tacked on loops for disk brake lines ect....the later arms are .5 mm thicker tubing wall thickness....others say not but imo after 75 they went thicker tube material
most of the ones people try and splice a ext section in look real crappy imo
